EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda – Digital Skills for Youth Transformation
For many years, EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda has been committed to transforming the lives of young people by focusing on one of the most powerful tools for modern development—digital skills training and empowerment.
The organization was established by youth-students of Makerere University to help young people overcome challenges such as unemployment, poverty, limited education opportunities, digital divide and lack of access to technology. In today’s world, where almost every opportunity is connected to digital systems, EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda focuses on equipping youth and women with basic practical ICT and digital skills that can help them survive and succeed in the modern and digital economy.
In Uganda, many young people face barriers such as limited access to computers, internet services, and quality ICT training. As a result, they often struggle to compete in the job market or access online opportunities. EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda steps in to bridge this gap by providing hands-on training in areas such as computer literacy, online communication, digital entrepreneurship, and basic coding skills.
The program also recognizes that the digital divide is stronger in rural and low-income communities. Many young people grow up without exposure to technology, which limits their ability to participate in the digital economy. Through training centres, outreach programs, and community workshops, EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda works to ensure that even the most vulnerable youth and women gain access to essential digital knowledge.
Challenges such as unemployment, lack of job experience, and limited career guidance continue to affect young people across the country. Digital skills training provides a practical solution by enabling youth to create their own opportunities through freelancing, online work, content creation, and digital business development.
Today, EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda continues to empower young people across communities by promoting innovation, ICT literacy, and entrepreneurship. The goal is to build a generation of digitally skilled youth who can compete globally, create employment for themselves, and contribute to national development.
EzeYouth Empowerment Message
At EzeYouth Empowerment Uganda, we believe that digital skills are the key to unlocking opportunities. When young people are equipped with technology skills, they become creators, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow’s economy.
